Twinkle: February Guest Sparkler!

Hey Everyone!! My name is Amber, and I am so excited to be sharing all month long as the February guest sparkler! I hope you aren’t sick of Christmas layouts yet, because for my first project I am using the beautiful shimmery mix Hex-a-Glam. These sequins immediately made me think of Christmas or New Years and fit perfectly with these cute photos of my daughter playing around the tree.

Creating a layout with lots of white space is a design I love but find challenging to do myself! However this layout I think fits somewhere right between, and I love the way it turned out. I just really wanted to let the fun glittery sequins shine with my photos.

My intention was to have an ornament design so just arranging sequins in different zigzags inside one large circle. As an added detail and also to secure them in place I stitched through all the lines using my sewing machine with both white thread, and then back across different parts with red and green.

I went with some simple layering for the photos using pattern papers and some ephemera from the Crate Paper collection Merry Days. Also kept the embellishing to a minimum just adding some Thickers, puffy stickers and a few of these cute little rustic hearts which you can find in the shop and are so versatile to use!!
