December Daily 2013!!
My December Daily Kit and album are here my scrappy friends!! My kit is for sale on my SpiegelMom Scraps Facebook page HERE with free shipping in the US only. The actual December Daily Album is also on sale in my Etsy Shop HERE. (The kit is slightly different from what I used in my December Daily. Not pictured but included in this kit are 2 packs of Maggie Holmes Gold Glitter Alpha Thickers! I also added the May Arts Rosette Ribbon and green grosgrain as a bonus.)
I’ll be posting lots of pictures this month, along with some tips, tricks and how the heck I did that!! So, grab a cup of your favorite beverage and relax….
~ December Daily Cover ~ I kept this very simple.
1. I trimmed the canvas base to 6 1/2 inches by about 9 inches with my pinking sheers and punched my holes at the top with my Crop-a-dile. I added some large eyelets to make it more durable.
2. Next, I cut the wool felt banner shape cut on my Cricut (Sweethearts Cartridge). I adhered the wool shapes o the canvas with some Aileen’s Tacky Glue and ran the top through my sewing machine. The thread is gold 🙂 **Cutting fabric on your Cricut requires you to back it with Ultra Strong Heat & Bond which is easily applied with an iron. This provides a smooth surface for sticking to the Cricut Mat and it stabilizes the fabric so it doesn’t pull or stretch during cutting. I use the Multi Cut feature and have my blade depth at 6, pressure at max and speed on high.
