Tuesday’s Talent

Hello again, its Melissa here for my second post as your Guest Designer for March!  This week I wanted to scrapbook 6 photos of my oldest and youngest kids (and our cat Charlie), so I decided to use the Polaroid Frame Border cut file by Paige Evans that I purchased from the Silhouette Design store.  Often it takes several photos to capture the image you want, and I love scrapping the out-takes too!

I cut the frame border 4 times, and glued two together to make two thick frames.  Then I pulled out my latest Secret Not Secret Kit Club kit (the same kit I used last week), and selected three sequin mixes that would work with the Dear Lizzy Stargazer collection.  I choose “Wild & Free“, “Rainbow Bright” and “In the New Year“.  I really wanted to feature the sequins, so I used them on the frames that held the photos.

I love how the sequin mixes look on each of the frames, and I think they help draw attention to the photos.

I used patterned paper and cut aparts from the 6×6 paper included in my kit.  I even added my journaling within one of the frames.

I had lots of fun embellishing with stickers, ephemera and a flair badge, and I added cross stitches on the ends of each of the frame strings to anchor them.  I placed my title along the top of the second border.

I just love Jody’s sequin mixes, they add a such a special amount of bling to any project!
