got envelopes?

As this month’s Guest Designer for Memory Works, I used the coin envelopes to create a mini album, a layout and 4 cards.   One of my favorite vendors is October Afternoon, which fills this awesome kit…but I usually go for the girly or outdoor themed papers.  Since this month’s kit was filled with rich colors and lots of vintage charm, I knew I’d be working outside my normal color palette.  But, since I LOVE a good challenge, I decided to play off the colors and use our fall family pictures for my Guest Designer projects this month.

I added some extra pictures for those hopping over from the Memory Works Blog.

My Mini Coin Album
I used the mini spools and wood buttons to create a little string of charms using some burlap string (in my Etsy Shop).  You can do this with lots of different embellishments.

A couple coats of Ranger Glossy Accents gave this cut out butterfly the protection it needed to adorn the front cover of the mini album.

Canvas adds great texure to any scrapbook page or project.  You can spray it (Glimmer Mist, Mr. Huey’s, Perfect Pearls, etc), stamp on it and layer it for interesting texture and embellishments.

When I was finished with my layout and mini album, I was literally down to scraps of paper!  So, here’s what I came up with to create my 4 cards.

Don’t forget to stop by the Memory Works Blog on Tuesday, December 13th, for a tour of my scrappy space and some organization tips.

Thanks for stopping by again, and remember…. do something creative today!
