Cards with Karla – Mixed Media Christmas Card!

Hi Friends! Karla back today with a mixed media Christmas card using a Tim Holtz stamp and stencil set along with some embossing techniques and three gorgeous sequin mixes – Aquarius, Painted Gardens and Lisa’s Starry Night!

I started off taking a piece of Bristol cardstock and smooshing my Versamark Ink through the stencil that came with the awesome Tim Holtz stamp and stencil set. I used some clear iridescent embossing powder to add a clear resist on the background and then sponged on my Distress Oxide Inks from dark to light. I dripped a few water droplets on the water reactive ink to add some cool splotches! I layered on a chipboard label covered with Emerald Creek Northern Lights embossing powder and tied it to the stencilled background before layering over some pretty Lawn Fawn Knit Picky patterned paper.

The deer were stamped with Versamark and then embossed with Emerald Creek Charred Gold embossing powder. I love the cool gold and black melted effect this powder gives!

Here’s a look at the inside – I love the font on the stamps and how just adding a few sequins inside really makes it special.
