Shake It Sunday with Sarah!

Happy Sunday, SMS fans!  It’s Sarah on the blog today with a pocket life spread to share with you, and of course a YouTube video to go along with it!  Here is Week 47:

I used Jen Hadfield Warm and Cozy and a few other fall collections to create this spread!  I grabbed a bunch of goodies from the SMS shop and got started!

As always, I start with my title card.  It sets the tone for my whole spread.  I cut a 2×6 piece of vellum and sewed it on with my sewing machine.  I added a chipboard left from Warm and Cozy, a table from Fancy Pants Golden Days and the “Adventure” Thicker from Shimelle’s Let’s Go collection.  The ‘WK 47″ Thickers are old Maggie Holmes Styleboard from Hobby Lobby.

i did my journalling on a 4×6 card this week.  I added a White Paper Lace Doily and a chipboard lead.  I embellished with enamel dots, gems and pearls,

I made a fun shaker pocket using a Becky Higgins 4×6 Fuse pocket and filled it with Evergreen Bough Sequin Mix and sewed it shut.  I added another copper Thicker from Let’s go directly on top.  I adhere to flip pocket to the outside of my pocket page using American Crafts Red Tape.

I added on of the new Ever-cork Forest Die Cuts to this 4×6 photo and added a die cut word and more of the Styleboard Thickers.  I also added a Golden Days leaf paper clip to the 3×4 picture on top.  I embellished most of my other 3×4 pics with copper word stickers from Maggie Holmes Gather.

I added half of a Paper Lace Doily to this 4×6 piece of patterned paper from Warm and Cozy.  I filled a Small Glassine Bag with more of the Evergreen Bough Sequin Mix and sewed it shut with my sewing machine.  I topped it off with another copper Thicker from Let’s Go and a word sticker from Gather.  I used another chipboard leaf and more enamel dots, pearls and gems.

I used another Ever-cork Forest Die cut and embellished it similarly to the other picture.  Doing similar embellishments across a spread adds to a more cohesive look for your layout.
