Hello, SMS fans, it’s Sarah on the blog again today with a quick grid design 8.5×11 layout to share! I wanted to get more of my Pink Paislee Fancy Free stash used up, so I grabbed what I had left and got going! Here it is:
I started my making 2.5×2.5 squares with the Fancy Free patterned paper. I also cropped my photos that size. I made little pockets for sequins out of Large Glassine Bag and filled them with some of the Happy Dance Sequin Mix and sewed them shut with my sewing machine. I arranged them in a grid pattern, adhered them with my E-Z Runner Grand and started embellishing!
I added a little bit of embellishing to each square. I layered a Chunky Cork Heart with a puffy heart sticker from Fancy Free. I used some enamel dots and Kaisercraft gems to add a little bling! I also gave my layout a good splatter of Heidi Shine in Black, Lime and Teal.
Here you can get a close up of the Glassine Bag pockets that I filled with some of the Happy Dance Sequin Mix. I also used a few of the glitter hearts that came in the Fancy Free Thicker Word pack.
I added my title “Play” from the Fancy Free Thicker Word pack over a Paper Lace Doily and added “Lyla” with the old enamel Thickers from the Dear Lizzy Documentary collection. I added typed journalling that I typed on my typewriter and a few of the puffy sticker stitches from the puffy sticker pack from Fancy Free, stamped the date and called it done!
