Happy Mail Thank You with Sarah

shake-it-up-scrapbooking

Hello again, SMS fans!  It’s Sarah on the blog today with a happy mail thank you card!  I recently received an amazing happy mail all the way from Australia and wanted to send a fun-filled thank you in return!  So, I grabbed a few supplies from my stash and a bunch of goodies from the SMS shop and got started.  Here it is:

The recipient loves Christmas an I had a lot of stuff leftover from my December Daily last year.  This was the perfect opportunity to use some of it up.  I had papers from the Ashley G. collection and Basic Grey Juniper Berry.  Also, ephemera from Elle’s Studio and Basic Grey.

I started out by making a simple 3 envelope flip book.  I cut papers down to size to fit the envelopes, both outside and inside.  I filled each one with goodies from my stash and from the SMS shop!  Here you can see that I filled it with a few Mini Glassine Bags, washi samples and Rockin’ Red Stars sequins.  I also made a flip element out of an old acetate 3×4 card from Pinkfresh Studio!

I filled this one with ephemera, Gold Foil Doilies and acetate pieces.  I embellished with some Cork Stars, enamel dots, gems and pearls.

This pocket I filled with acetate 3×4 cards, White Lace Doilies and some of the Aqua Marine Dream Sequin Mix.

I decorated the back of the flip book in a similar manner to the front.  I used a large die cut glitter snowflake from Pebbles and the “celebrate” sticker also from Pebbles.  I used my typewriter to make my own tiny word stickers!

I also made a fun little goodie bag filled with extras that were too big to fit in the flip book.  I used a Medium Glassine Bag and filled it full.  I stapled it shut with my tiny attacher and adhered a Gold Foil Doily with my E-Z Runner Grand.   I embellished with a kraft tag, a glitter snowflake, and wood veneer.  I also added some sparkle to the entire project with some of the Pinky Pie Pinks Sequin Mix.  I just glued them on with some Tombow Mono Multiglue!

I hope you have enjoyed this happy mail thank you flip book as much as I enjoyed making it!  Look for more from me on the blog next week!
