Creating Cards on the Go!

Hi everyone! Jody here, coming to you from sunny Inverness, Florida! This week, I brought our youngest down to meet her GREAT grandparents for the first time. My Nana & Pa have been doing well for awhile now and it’s been very important to me for all our girls get to know them. Last September, Nana wasn’t doing very well at all, but over the last several months things have improved! Yay! Growing up, my siblings and I spent lots of time with them and have some wonderful memories. It seemed only right that our girls have the chance to get to know them too ❤️  My on the go kit! Of course, I had to pack a little something to keep my hands & crafty brain busy after Abby was sleeping in our hotel room. So, I decided to pack a little card making to go kit!  Here’s what I packed:

~ 13×13″ semi-flat folding container

~ Neenah cardstock precut to 5.5″ by 4.25″

~ various adhesives

~ Memento black ink

~ sequins

~ various wood veneers & cork pieces

~ 3 washi tapes

~ small scissors, EK Success tweezers & ruler

~ Medium white shipping tags

~ Wink of Stella & Picket Fence Distress Marker

~ Simple Stories I Am cards & ephemera

~ Bakers Twine

~ V’s Sweet Ideas Coffee Break stamp

~ Other stamps I won from Jen Evans ❤️

I packed this kit right in my suitcase without any trouble. I’m already on my way with some card making and will share those cards soon! The precut Simple Stories cards make it super easy to put my cards together without needing a paper trimmer. The most I need to do is trim off 1/2 inch from one of the 4×6 cards or do a little fussy cutting around an object in one of the cards, such as a butterfly. Super easy!!

Today, you’re also getting the first look at a NEW embellishment in my shop! Chunky Cork Hearts are here! They’re a high quality, thick cork material that is hand punched my me for you. Check them out in my shop HERE

Thank you for stopping by today & remember to do something creative today ✂️❤️
