Tuesday’s Talent with Kelly

Hello friends! I hope that you are having a fantastic week. Today I am sharing a layout and process video in which my focus is on using Shimmerz Paste-eez Salt of the Earth, and Black Tie Event sequins. Unfortunately the Black Tie Event sequins have sold out, but I’m pretty sure that Moonshine Delight and Crushin’ on Purple will work as well if you’d like to replicate the sequins that I used for this project.

I used several Felicity Jane kits for the papers and embellishments for this layout. Once I settled on the color scheme, the layout came together fairly quickly.  Adhering a few sequins down the edge of my photo is one of my favorite go-to techniques when it comes to sequins. It doesn’t take a lot to make a big impact on your page.

If you have never tried modeling paste through stencils, this is the perfect one to purchase. The texture of white on white amazing, especially in person. For this layout I chose to use a geometric stencil because I felt like the graphic nature of the triangles worked well with the dots and lines on the patterned papers.

Adhering the tiny stars was easier than I thought, and I found that using Scotch Tacky Adhesive worked well. It dries clear which is a huge plus.  I love the combination of the silver stars and the holographic sequins. They are so versatile and can be used for so many different projects.

Thanks so much for joining me today, and I hope that you have a great week!
