Abby’s debut…..
in My Minds Eye, cardboard and some white paint. Yes, cardboard.! Can you see it in this layout? Check out the close-ups and you’ll definitely find the corrugated cardboard. I tore the plain old cardboard from a box, painted it with white acrylic paint and inked the edges with some Blackbird Color Box Chalk. Didn’t it add some cool texture and depth to this LO! I just love it!
There is one more recycled piece too. It’s the black mat behind my 5×7″ photo of Abby. I don’t remember where it came from exactly, but it’s a heavy chipboard-like material. I painted it’s edges to add some interest make it pop a little more.
Also, in this layout: green seam binding, Tim Holtz Metal Keys & Distress Crackle Paint (over chipboard letters), Maya Road chipboard letters “abby”, Tattered Angels Banner & Glimmer Mist, a Jenni Bowlin mini calendar (November) & a super cute journaling tag from Shabby Chic Crafts. (Thank you again Michelle B!)
I hope you’re inspired to recycle something cool into your next layout! Just think of the possibilities around your house alone.
Thank for stopping by & remember to do something creative today!
