Scrapbooking with Karla – Scraplifting Jen Schow!
Hello friends, and happy Thursday! Karla here today, and this week we are having a wonderful time scraplifting the most amazing Jen Schow! I really liked this layout below that she created, and thought it would be a nice way to use some of the 3×4 photos that I usually print out with the Project Life App, as well as using up some of the pretty journaling cards I have in my stash!
I decided to start off with some older CTMH papers from my stash and the coordinating stickers. The colours looked great with my photos and since they had an outdoorsy theme it went well. I also had some Project Life cards that I thought would go well with the papers and photos and then grabbed the Sweet Pea, Deck The Halls, Orange Blossom and Ferris Wheel sequin mixes.
I added some Stickles and Glossy Accents to highlight different areas of the stickers and Tim Holtz botanical ephemera. The orange blossom sequin mix had the perfect tiny flowers to add detail to the mushroom sticker, and I love how the larger flower from the mix has a bit of iridescence to it and coordinated perfectly!
Just by adding some sequins to the journaling card and paper flower I was able to coordinate both elements, and add that little bit of something extra special to my layout!
I really liked how the reds in the Deck The Halls went with the coral colour in the stickers and flair badge, and I used the Abandoned Coral Distress Ink to stamp some little triangular images on the background. I even added a little of the Natural Burlap String on the tiny sticker tag.
Here’s a look at the pretty mixes I used on my layout this week – Sweet Pea, Deck The Halls (not just for Christmas!), Orange Blossom and Ferris Wheel!
