Magical – A Whimsical Layout
Hello and Welcome! This is my attempt at a “Make it Yours” Monday. I’m not so great at the themes. But this project just so happens to fit perfectly because I scraplifted a combination of an old project by me, hereĀ + some inspiration by Suse Fish.
I started with a white cardstock background, used washi tape as a vertical barrier, and painted thick horizontal stripes using “In the Navy” Acri-Tonez by Shimmerz from the shop. In case you’re in need of a technique for these magical paints – here you go. Make a simple striped background and you’ll be very happy with the results š
I chose to use gold polka-dot patterned vellum over the non-stripe side of the cardstock. I love the shine it adds. I usedĀ Indigo Hills by Pinkfresh Studio patterned paper to cover the seam between the paint and the vellum.
On this layout I used embellishments from that same Pinkfresh Studio collection, Crate PaperĀ Gather, and flair fromĀ Accent Scrapbooking.Ā
All of these products pair so well with the Pandora’s Ombre sequin mix. But I also debated on using this oneĀ too.
So, my challenge to you: Pick an Acri-Tonez and paint a bold background. Happy crafting!
