You are a Star by Rachel Lowe:
Well today is my last share as a guest designer for Speigelmom Scraps and I have had such fun creating with the wonderful sequin mixes.
It is all about a boy today!
I have used Pink Paislee Paige Evans Turn the Page collection.
I have also used her hexagon cut file available at the Silhouette design store.
I also used a star cut file to create my white stars.
I have used the Happy Happy Winter sequin mix but did not include the burgundy sequins.
I made my star shaker first.
Cut one star whole (this is the back of your star.
Cut another five but this time cutting a smaller star in the centre.
Set one aside.
Glue the four stars on top of each other.
Then glue the four stars to the back whole star.
Now put your sequins in the centre, do not over fill or the sequins will not be able to move around the star.
I then cut a star by hand using acetate (you could use vellum) and glued to the top of my star.
Now with the last star you set aside glue on top of the acetate star.
Now you have a sequin shaker!
I used a striped paper from Turn the Page collection and backed the hexagon.
I had to add some machine sewing!
Then I added my sequin star, varying shaped white card stock stars and finished off with some more machine sewing on the stars.
I then added my title and balanced my layout with some embellishments.
So glad my nail polish matched my sequins lol!
Thank you for stopping by today and it has been fun sharing my layouts with you all and show casing the wonderful products in Speigelmom Scraps shop!
