Spotlight Sparkler: Lorimar Ortega

Hey there Sparklers! Happy to be back sharing another layout with you all. For this one, I wanted to use a cut file (Cloud Mobile by Virginia Walker @ COAPA cut files) as a shaker pocket filled with Starry Dreams sequins.

I cut out the cut file in periwinkle cardstock, backed the cloud with vellum, backed the stars and moon with cardstock covered with gold/silver glaze, and popped the entire cut file up on craft foam for dimension.

For my base, I used this stars paper from Crate Paper, added clear gesso to it, and then added Shimmerz in Rip Van Periwinkle, Hint of Mint, and Jenni B Blue. As an extra touch of texture and “gold-ness”, I watered down seom gold glaze and splashed in unto the background.

Once everything was set, I placed the cut file on the background, added the sequins underneath the vellumed cloud, and adhered everything down. Kept my embellishments (from my stash) on the down low and added my journaling below the title.
