Pocket Life Inserts
Hello again! It’s Sarah on the blog today, talking about pocket life inserts. My family celebrated Thanksgiving well into December this year, and I didn’t want a Thanksgiving themed layout in my December pages. So, I grabbed what was left of my Maggie Holmes Shine Collection, and got to work. I used Shine for the whole month of November and I wanted to use it for my insert too!
This is a 6×12 insert that I laid out as 12×12 to photograph. I cut a Design A page protector down to 6×12 to create the insert.
I made a fun sequin pocket with some of the Indian Summer Mix and sewed the pocket shut with my sewing machine.
I added a few of the Chunky Cork Hearts and embellished with the same Indian Summer Sequin Mix, using them like enamel dots across the spread.
I also was sure to use a couple of the White Paper Doilies! They are my favorite! And here, you can also see the beautiful white Birds Of A Feather Felties!
This layout came together so quickly and easily! I really had almost nothing left of the Shine collection, but with my goodies from SMS, I was still able to make a fun insert that coordinated with my spread!
I finished with a few journalling strips that I typed on my typewriter, and called it good! I ended up adding the insert between my two spreads for Week 48!
Thank you so much for stopping by! Here are the items I used from the shop:
