Make it Yours Monday~Sunshine & Silliness

Hello Everybody, and HAPPY Belated Mother’s Day!! I hope you all had an amazing day yesterday. I had a wonderful weekend with my girls (hence the late post, sorry!!)

For this weeks layout, I used a pin that I have been wanting to do for a looooong time, and about 90% of my layout today is all Spiegelmom Scraps products!!!

I began my layout by layering a piece of American Crafts white cardstock on a piece of pretty blue stripped papper. On top of the white, I added some sky blue cardstock and stitched around the edges. Next, I splattered so Glorious Day Vibez for some sunshine-y sparkle around the page. 

I started the main background of the layout by using a mixture of the smaller 4″ paper doilies and 8″ Chantilly Doilies around the page.  For the sun and clouds, I used a great and FREE cut file from the shop, Found HERE, and cut them from my Scan N Cut in the colors I needed. I also mixed in some of the Cloudy Day Felties for some texture and interest among the clouds.

For my photo, I layered some fun sky blue glitter paper right behind the photo to make it stand out, and then some spotty yellow paper too, to keep the sunshine theme going. Behind the paper layers, I added a fancy cut of vellum so add some softness. I added some strips of washi tapes and then adhered the photo on top of the washi strips.

I used the Sunshine from the cut file and some glitter thickers to create my title, and then had some fun with other embellishments from the shop!! I used a few Cork Confetti Butterflies sprinkled around and added a layer of vellum on top of them, and attached them with my Tim Holtz tiny attacher. Some pattern paper punched butterflies in pretty colors were added for more whimsy. 

More sparkle was needed so I used some of the new Free Spirit sequin mix to add color to the sun and a few by the washi tape. The clouds and doilies got some shimmer from a few Morning Dew Drops sequins.   To finish my page, I used some of the yellow thread I used on stitch down the edges and tangled it behind the sun and a doily. I really am SO happy with this layout and hope you enjoyed it as well!!
