Make It Yours Monday~Hello Love

Hello Friends! I’m so excited for this weeks project. As you know, this week, the Sparklers Design Team are all scraplifting and being inspired by the amazingly talented and super sweet Kat Benjamin! I instantly was drawn to this fun layout featuring her puppy, Moose, and knew I also wanted to use this to scrap a photo of our sweet little guy, Charger!!!

To begin, I layered a piece of American Crafts white cardstock, trimmed to  8.5×11, over a fun polka dot patterned paper. I used some fun  stickers on the far left side of the white cardstock to create a boarder where the papers meet.

I matted my photo on a piece of white cardstock to help brighten it up, since it was suck a dark picture. I placed my photo about a third of the way down from the top, and layered a 4″ doily behind it when I adhered it down. A cute little die cut puppy and a wood veneer heart just made this layout extra sweet! I used some of the tiny word stickers from the sticker sheet included with the puppy love collection I am using for this layout to set the theme. They say My Dog is my Heart and Me & My Best Friend. I completely feel this way about my furry little love bug!!

For the white portion of the page, I got to have fun with some more embellishments. I used some paper punched hearts to create the base for some clusters. Then, I added some wood veneer, tiny word stickers and my favorite, cork hearts, available in the shop (for a little while longer, there not being restocked!!! Grab some if you want them!!!!) I knew the perfect sequin mix for this page would be the Honor Guard mix, with the beautiful primary reds and blues!! So, I sprinkled some of them around in the heart clusters and created little clusters of these sparkly beauties by themselves!

To finish, I heat embossed my wood veneer title with some pretty blue powder and versamark ing and used my wind of stella sparkle pens on the bottom. Then I adhered it to the right of my photo. A little bit of journaling under the picture and I was finished!
