Make It Yours Monday~Friends Are…

Missy Whidden Inspiration, take 2! I have the pleasure of closing out the week of being inspired by Missy. It was not hard to find a number of beautiful layouts to be inspired by, but this one was just SO pretty, and chose it as my second influence!

To begin my take, I gessoed a piece of purple cardstock and then used the packaging technique to apply my shimmerz to the background. I used The Tide that Bindz Texturez, Sea U in the Morning and Pucker Up Pink Dazzlerz, Raspberry Sherbet Paste-eez and some Chick-a-dee Spritz.

While the background was drying, I used my Scan N Cut and the free Blooms & Butterflies cut file from the shop to cut the beautiful flowers and backed them with a 6×6 paper pad in my stash. Then, I matted my photo with some solid pink cardstock, gold glitter paper and some vellum.

When all the mixed media was dry, I adhered the backed cut file and my photo to the background. I added some Missy inspired tangled thread bunches around the cut file and some gold thread under the photo. My title went to the left of my picture and as a finishing touch, I used a mix of both the Sweet Summer Vibes and Fairy Garden sequin mixes to bring some shimmer to the center of each die cut flower and in clusters around the page. Some gold splatters and I was done!
