Make It Yours Monday~Forever
Happy Monday and welcome to another Make It Yours Monday!!! This week, I was actually inspired by a layout on one of my 12×12 paper pads! This Lovely layout is on my Jen Hadfield Home+Made back cover and I love how simple and lovely it was, so I wanted to put my own twist on this great page!
I started with a black sheet of cardstock and trimmed down a sheet of American Crafts White Cardstock by a 1/2″ on 2 sides and centered it onto the black and adhered it down. I misted the white cardstock with some Shimmerz Cotton Candy Spritz and Glorious Day Vibez and added a few splatters.
While the mists were drying, I started the middle strip. I took a 6×12″ piece of black cardstock and mounted a pink floral pattern paper after trimming a 1/4″ from all the sides. I mounted my photo and 3×4 card on some gold foiled paper and then backed the 3×4 card with a bit of torn vellum and a 4″ doily from the shop. I then adhered both the card and photo on some more black cardstock and put another doily behind the photo. I adhered them to the pink pattern paper and mounted the whole paper block onto the background. I used some thickers to spell my title out just above the photo.
In the top left corner, I used half a doily and some stickers from the Simple Stories Heart collection as well as some Morning Dew Drops sequins. I sprinkled some of the pretty iridescent sequins around the rest of the page also to bring in more sparkle.
I added a butterfly to the 3×4 card and a heart to the photo and my journaling went right beneath the paper strip in the center of the page.
I really hope you will take a look around your stash and be inspired by something you see on the packaging or something your hoarding an make a great page based on what you have found!
