Make It Yours Monday~ I LOVE…

HAPPY Labor Day everyone!! I hope you are all enjoying the holiday (here in the US) Today, I have a layout for you inspired by the soft colors and feelings of a few painting I just love to look at! Monet is a strong influence for me with all his beautiful colors and light feeling of his work

I began my layout by mating a pink and black cardstock under a piece of white American Crafts cardstock. I also mated the photo in the same colors, going the opposite way. I used some Shimmerz mists in Night Moves to create some splatters and then, I started on the base of my page.

I used a set of coordinating washi tapes and just put strips down in a pattern that looked good to the eye. I backed my photo with an 8″ doily from the shop to add a softer feel against the straight edges of the washi tape strips. To bring sparkle and shine to the page, I used a couple of different mixes to get just the right colors. Pandora’s Ombre, Rockin Pink Ombre and Morning Dew Drops all brought just the sparkle needed to make the layout shine!

My title added to the top left and bottom right helps keep the eyes moving about the page and really compliment the softer colors with the sparkly black!

Today’s layout was a rather quick and simple page, but all the Spiegelmom Scraps products really helped pull it together and give it just the right touches. Stop by the shop and pick some of these amazing products for yourself and….
