Library Blogging & a Quick Card
Hey friends!! Jody here today and I’m blogging from the library!! It’s very hot here today so the girls and I decided to go to the library to hang out 😉
I’m sharing an easy watercolor Shimmerz card!! I started some a piece of watercolor paper from my local scrapbook store, which I trimmed to 4″ by 5.25″. I spritzed the watercolor paper and my Shimmerz Creameez to activate the watercolor powder. This is to prep the watercolor paper for easier, dreamy-like, blending. You don’t need to do this however. After they were ready, I just began randomly painting a variety of the Shimmerz Creameez into my watercolor paper.
Take a closer look at the beautiful, slight shimmer of the Creameez watercolors. Photos just don’t do it justice!! After the watercolor dried, I added some heat embossing right into top of the watercolor, which worked great with Veramark ink! The stamp is one of my old fav’s from Stampin’ Up. I also added my Flutter Cork Butterflies, May Arts ivory burlap string and mounted the watercolor card onto a scrap piece of Hello Today paper from Heidi Swapp. Then I added it onto the from of a 4.25″ by 5.50″ card base.
Thanks so much for stopping by today!! I hope you were inspired to try out watercoloring on a card!!
