Just Peachy | Nicole Santos
Hey everybody! Sparkler Nicole here, and I’m back with this sweet layout documenting my youngest after her color run at school. To embellish this page with just the right sequins, I’m using a combo of sequins… Butterfly Garden and Sea Glass.
The first thing that I did was I paper pieced my layout together. To do that I grabbed my March Limited Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook. I used the pocket cards that came in the kit and cut them down to squares. I then rounded all the edges of the squares. I only need 7 squares to complete my layout, since my picture would have completely covered up 2 of them.
After my squares were situated, I matted my 5×7 photo on kraft paper and attached to my page using dimensional foam. Once all these main pieces were in place I began my embellishing. I started with some embellishments that came in my kit which included ephemera, chipboard stickers, and flowers.
I also used some leaf dies from my stash to add more to the clusters. Then comes the fun! I knew I wanted some pink and teal in this page so I decided to use pinks and clears from the Butterfly Garden collection and the teals from the Sea Glass collection. These sequins were perfect for this page. I finished with some journaling.
I hope this page gives you an idea of how you can use your sequins and get them on your layout! You can find lots of different sequin selections over at the SpiegelMom Scraps shop, but don’t forget to use code Nicole15 to save 15% off your order (excludes preorder).
Thanks for popping on, Sparkler Nicole
