Heat & Dry Embossing on Gift Tags
Hello friends! Jody here again today with a couple of fun holiday gift tags. In October, I hosted a holiday gift tag swap over on my Facebook page and had 17 lovely participants. Each of us created 12 holiday themed gift tags to swap. It was a blast!! Last night I sorted all the beautiful tags and was amazed at the variety. As I sat there looking at all the tags I was also thankful & honored that these ladies spent their time rearing such pretty tags for their fellow tag swappers!! Thank you ladies!!! Here’s a peek at the piles of tags! Alright now for one of the two tags I created for my swap event! I used white medium shipping tags as my base and started the process with stamping the sentiments with Memento black ink. Next, I used Versamark ink to stamp a few snowflakes with my cira 2001 Stampin’ Up Winter Wishes set.
After that stamping prep was done, I used Ranger Liquid Platinim embossing powder to heat emboss the snowflakes. My next step was to dry emboss the tags with tiny dots and ink them up with Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Shabby Shutters.
For the final touch, I added small key tags from my stash for a place to write To & From.

All sorts of embossing and distressing action on these cute tags. They turned out great. And the glassine envelopes with gold doily topper is such a great packaging idea for sending the tags out to the swap participants. This was fun!
