Guest Desinger Amber :: Happy Girl

Hello lovelies!! I am here today to share my FINAL layout as this months guest sparkler! It has been such an honour to be able to share my projects on the blog with everyone!

Today’s layout I used one of my favourite mixes “Hex-A-Glam” to compliment a pattern paper from a past Dear Lizzy Collection Star Gazer. Also some “Genius Gems” wood veneers.

I started with just basic white cardstock and took to one of my favourite things which is fussy cutting!! I cut out 4 hexagon chunks from the DL paper to start creating a fun background. Adding in some of the sequin hexagons for visual interest to go with the hexagon pattern going up the page. Next adding a pop of bling, I made a hexagon of sequins to look like it was half off the page.

Then came deciding on what pictures to use. A couple weeks ago my daughter was having fun in Winners with this pull toy. It was so cute, and I loved the “white space” in the photos, and decided against layering them, which seemed very different for me! Instead I just added black sketchy borders around both photos and just doodled around some of the hexagon clusters, and my hexagon journaling square cut from scrap paper. Final touches included adding more sequins, the wood veneer gems, some crate paper good vibes stickers, a couple stickers and a chipboard from my stash. And went for a basic title “happy girl” because she truly is!

I love creating busy layouts with lots of different points of interest, and even better when it turns into something you love using minimal products, because we all love to hoard our stash!!
