Girl Squad// Spotlight Sparkler Evi

Hello Scrapbooking ladies! Today I have a mixed media scrapbook layout using the I Dream of Sequins pack from the shop. I enjoy the contrast this layout provides with the grungy background and then the delicate floral die cut on top.

I started off with a black and white patterned paper for Maggie Holmes Flourish collection and that peeped with white gesso. I then sprayed Picked Raspberry and Marigold Distress Oxide Sprays on them randomly.

The split floral cut file is from Paige Evans and I cut it on white card stock and backed the cut file with scraps of patterned paper from my stash.

Once I decided on the placement of the die cut I began placing the sequins from I Dream of Sequins.  I added the aqua sequins to the leaves and the pink ones are on the flowers of the die cuts. This process takes time and love. Its always my last step because I wind down while doing this.

My photo is of my daughter and her close in age cousin, soon to be partners in crime. They were busy watching cartoons and Miguel took the photo on my lap. I cannot wait for all the things they will do together as they grow up together.

My title is from a thicker pack in my stash, and because I added black I needed to find a few other black elements like tiny word stickers and black sequins from Funky New Year. Those tiny touches will wrap up my layout for today.
