Fuse It Fun Day- Teacher Gift
Happy Sunday scrappers! So glad you joined me for Fuse It Fun Day! I have been dying to make a Coptic bound book and the end of the school year presented me with the perfect excuse to get creating! I wanted to make my son’s teacher a gift, and a blank journal seemed rather appropriate!
The first thing I did was watch a bunch of youtube videos, if you search “Coptic bound book” there are tons of tutorials, careful, this is a time suck, I got lost on youtube for a few hours!
Once I felt comfortable with the tutorials, I started my notebook. I picked out some paper from my stash. I still had so much of the Pink Paislee Switchboard collection, someone gifted me the paper pack a while back. So I wanted to use that up and it was perfect for this project. I made my signatures with printer paper and patterned paper. Then I wrapped my chipboard covers with more of the patterned papers.
I knew I wanted to add a special touch to this notebook, making it personalized from our family. So I created a shaker dashboard with my son’s school photo. I used the Wedding Bells sequin mix, and it added such a crisp clean pop to this shaker page! I love the white sequins and the silver stars, but the iridescent sequins take it over the top!
When I added the cover, I included the shaker page! It worked beautifully! I also added a few buttons to the spine, not over the top, just a few. I think next time I will add more charms and such, I really like how that looks! I love how this little notebook came out, and I can’t wait to make more of these books!
As always, be sure to save some money in the shop with this code!
