Fun at the Fair | Sparkler Nicole
Hey all! Today I’m using the gorgeous Capture Today sequin collection to create this pocket layout. I’m trying to show a couple different ways to use your sequins. To start this page I used the October Kit from Hip Kit Club to make the cards with embellishments. They are all 4×6 cards with my 3×4 photos or 3×4 scraps. I’m documenting the fun we experienced at our state fair this year!
For the card above, I put a line of glue on my card, just an inch or so at a time, and then placed sequins down as I went along. I love this look!
This is one of my most favorite way to add sequins to a project. I add a few sequins to one side of my cluster or main object and then I add a few sequins to the diagonal opposite. Its great to do this with Spiegelmom Scraps sequins since you get so many different kinds in each collection that you can pretty much use different sequins in both corners.
Here is the old trusty sequin shaker! I used a frame to make my shaker here. I put acetate on the back of the frame, then added foam tape where the frame is, added sequins, then added another piece of acetate to the foam.
Here I added the sequins in an arced way coming from the embellishment that I have in the upper right of the photo. This is great to add to floral clusters as well or where a butterfly or bee are flying.
Thanks so much for popping on to read about my project. I hope it inspires you to use your sequins and maybe try a different way of using them. Although these sequins are sold out in the shop, you can find lots of other collections to match what you need, and you can get them for 15% off with my code Nicole15 (excludes preorder)!
Until next time, Nicole
