Diving into my Wood Veneer

Hello again friends!! Last week I saw one of the prettiest ways to use up a bunch of my wood veneer from Studio Calico, Chic Tags, Shimelle & American Crafts!! I was surfing some of the YouTubers I subscribe to & came across a fabulous video from Jen Schow... Talk about a talented scrapbooker!! You can check out the video I was inspired by here. 

After watching her video I was completely inspired to drive into my stash of wood veneers & really use them!! Here’s what I ended up creating.    

I used the paper Be Kind from Crate Paper Notes & Things and mounted it onto a piece of American Crafts Kraft card stock. I love the soft girly, floral pattern on this paper!! 

To draw my partial circles, I used my Creative Memories circle cutter to trace right onto my paper with a pencil and began to arrange a few of the wood veneers I wanted and my photo. After I figured out which wood veneers I wanted to support my photo I just filled I the rest. I also decided to color some of veneers with my Shock Pink Copic Marker (RV04) just for a little pop of color. Here are a few close-ups!
