Building layers and using scraps
Hello everyone! Jody here today with a fun layout and lots of layers. For this layout I used a sheet of paper and stickers from the Crate Paper Craft Market collection, a large glassine bag and various scraps from recent layouts I still had on my desk. I added the glassine bag for a couple reasons:
1). I love the added texture & different feel of the glassine bag, light & airy
2). The translucent glassine bag will mute whatever I slide inside, which makes it perfect for using up scraps of paper that may not match perfectly
I layered my photo of my girls & I at the zoo with a couple other papers scraps from the Craft Market collection. I put the glassine bag behind my matted photo and slide a few smaller scraps inside for fun! I love that you can see the faint patterns inside without distracting too much from the other page elements. I don’t know about you but sometimes I’ll start to stick things down onto my paper without thinking ahead. I think it’s the part of me that wants to get a layout done in less than 45 minutes lol!! Now, because I tend to do this I also have a little tip that helps me. I only add adhesive to the center of my page elements such as photos or larger sections of papers. This is key for me when I go back to tuck doilies, stickers, ephemera and other smaller pieces of papers behind other page elements or photos.
Here are a few more photos. I popped up some of the stickers with Foam Squares from Scrapbook Adjesives by 3L. Thanks for stopping by today! If you’re interested in any of the products used today, here’s a list for you ❤️
