Sketch Sunday with Crafty Meggy: Play on your Birthday!

Hello scrappy friends! I am changing things up a bit today and using the sketch that Lisa picked for the monthly challenge in the facebook group. I’ll be back in September with another Scraplift Sunday, though!

Here’s the sketch and the moodboard:

I really liked using these two pieces for my layout inspiration today. Here’s what I came up with:

I wanted to use that blue polka dot glassine bag that you can see behind the big focal photo in the middle. I decided to play off the blue color in the moodboard.

I have 3 little clusters on this layout. This one I used blue and white twine and a heart cork piece from the shop.

For the title I used the American Crafts Thickers called ‘Fancy’ from the Fancy Free collection, some Teresa Collins little aphas and the Fancy Pants Atwell puffy stickers.

For the top cluster I used the adorable Cork-Fetti Hearts mix. Isn’t this little banner of hearts just perfect?!! I love it!! I had the ‘Fancy Free’ puffy stickers and the word ‘yay’ worked on this layout because my son is opening and playing with a birthday present. I also added some twine and Gold Sequin Confetti. In this photo they are reflecting the light a ton!

Here’s a better view of the confetti sequins. I wanted to used them in place of mist in the sketch and I really love how it turned out.
