Project Life – Snowy Mountain Weekend
Hi Everyone!
Rachel here sharing my first Project Life post on this blog. This year, I decided to scrapbook in a 9×12 album incorporating both pocket pages and traditional layouts – I could never give those up completely! I talk more about my plans in this post on my blog.
So many gorgeous products were just recently released.. Did you pick up a lot? If so, this is a great post for some inspiration! I’m using lots of new products from the shop.
I wanted to use lots of blues to bring out the snowy scenery. I actually ended up using mostly old paper scraps to fill the squares + some silver starry vellum. I was so excited to order the new Shimmerz Acri Tonez – I love the matte look of the finished paint. In the Navy, found here, did not disappoint! And I love the layered look of that same color word on top of it. Oh and I recently discovered how handy an alpha stamp set can be for PL – Love the one I’m using lately by Concord & 9th.
When it comes to sequins, I really love muted colors. Sometimes I’ll add white to mellow out some mixes – I’m just not so great at venturing out with bright colors. I was instantly drawn to My Clementine, a gorgeous new mix from the shop with just the perfect amount of color.
Once I had all of my paper scraps and pictures placed, I added some exclusive felties from the shop, stitching on a white snowflake and adhering a navy heart. I just love how well so many of the products in the shop are coordinating!
I finished off my layout by adding a cork heart painted white to the bottom center square – I felt like it needed a little something to balance out my spread.
Anyone else working with 9 x 12 this year?
Thanks for stopping by!
