2 Giveaways on the blog hop today!
Happy Fall my scrappy friends!! Welcome to your forth stop on Memory Works Fall Preview Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from the very sweet & wildly creative CHRISTY MUSACK over at Studio C. Wasn’t her preview of the new Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic just beautiful! I must have that entire collection.. just like her Neapolitan from the last catalog! Thank you so much Christy.
I’m previewing one of my all time favorite manufacturers, My Minds Eye. I absolutely fall in love with their papers every time they are released. Their Lavender line is no exception.
I used the new Lavendar theme set, layered stickers, and brads, along with a new Fancy Pants Stencil. I had to add some favorites from my stash as well: ZVA bling, Stickles, a Jenni Bowin calendar (cut off at the top), my fav burlap string behind the layered the flower sticker, washi tapes, a Studio Calcio Wood Veneer Camera (MME Brad in the middle to create the lens), Recollections pink flower brads and a few sweet little paper roses.
See the brown, flower shaped chipboard piece behind the photo? That is the packaging from a Jillibean Soup Corugated Chipboard from a couple seasons ago. Save that packaging friends!! UpCycle it and use your creativity to encorporate it into your projects.
Below is one of the new Fancy Pants Stencils. I love them!! I backed it with the pink & white chevron paper. You also see some Mr. Huey’s ink spots on my layouts.. another must have in my scrapbooking supplies.
You can see the glittery areas on the paper below. I used my Stickles to highlight that very pretty, pre-printed floral design. I couldn’t help but give it a little boost since it is next to the bling. I punched the edges of the pink and white chevron at the corner of my photo with an EK Success edge punch. This added a much more delicate feel to my layout.
Thank you for joining us today!! My design team girls have been busy getting ready for today & we SO appreciate you spending some of your day with us! Love, Love, Love… great job and ingenious using the brown flower behind the photo!

Beautiful as always…so many lovely details. I love how you highlighted the flowers on the patterned paper with Stickles. That doily flower is my favorite. My go to embellishment would probably be buttons. You can never have too many of those. Love my ribbon and twine too.

Love the stickles on the flowers. My favorite embellishment are flowers and washi tape. Love it,

So CUTE! And the page isn’t too bad either:) I love how you used a baby photo, but not necessarily baby theme.

A lovely way to showcase a beautiful picture! My go to embellishments are my glossy accents and pop/glue dots. I love the bling too.

Love your layout and your use of so many different kinds of embellishments that pulled together so well! Love the way you think un upcycling the packaging. I do this too! I’m always like “ha that’s too pretty to just throw out, I could use that for something!” My go to embellishment would have to be making flags with pins and sticking them in a pop up dot or the sew easy and making my own banners on cards/layouts.

Wow Jodi, what gorgeous colors and I love, love what you did with the stencil. Neat idea, as is reusing old packaging. Hmm. go to embellishment would be a toss up between brads and ribbon.
Kim

Simply stunning!

Funny, I knew exactly where that scalloped flower behind the photo came from. I saved the same packaging to use somewhere, sometime. 🙂 Lovely layout, so pretty and dainty. TFS!
