What about Wednesday with Katty Miranda

Hello friends! Katty here for another What about Wednesday. Today I am focusing on a repetitive element. In my case I am using the adorable dog from the new Simple Stories Posh collection and hearts.

I began with American Crafts White Textured Cardstock which I matted with a black and cream diagonal stripe paper from the Simple Stories Posh collection. I used a Dina Wakely stencil with some tiny squares and used my Shimmerz Dazzlers in Coral me Crazy and Sea U in the Mornin through it. I created a square area behind the area where my photo will go.

I then layered a few papers from the Posh collection about two inches from the bottom of my layout. I trimmed the sides so that my diagonal stripe border would show all around. The main paper has a big dog on it. I decided I would repeat the dog element since I am scrapbooking a photo of my nieces new French Bulldog Bruce. I used the same dog from the ephemera pack, the sticker sheet and fussy cut the same dog from one of the cut apart sheets,

I created a cluster up top using a tag I cut out from one of the patterned papers and a banner I cut out and wrote the puppy’s name on and yet another sticker of the dog from the collection.

I then added sequins to the biggest dog from the collection in coordinating colors to his clothing I used several sequin mixes from the shop. The dark blue and yellow sequins are from the Hot Right Now Mix, Teal ones from the Believe in You Mix, Green ones from the Mocha Mint Dream Mix and the Coral ones from the Peachy Sherbert Mix.

Finally, I scattered around a few of the Chunky Cork Hearts and added a sticker heart on top. I also added a row of hearts at the bottom alternating cork hearts and stickers.

I love how it turned out. It came together very quickly!
