What about Wednesday Layout with Katty Miranda
Hello friends! Katty here. Today for What about Wednesday I am focusing on Watercolors. They add so much color and interest to a layout. I began with American Crafts white textured cardstock. I used a floral and leaf cutfile from my silhouette cameo which I also cut out with American Crafts white textured cardstock. I cut the flowers out in different sizes. I even cut out a huge one to mat my photo with. I began by coloring the flowers and leaves with my watercolors. I focused on shades of orange and some yellow.
Once I had my flowers colored I cut my photo into a circle and matted it with a coral polka dot paper from the Pebbles Lakeside collection. I also used the same paper to mat my layout, i didn’t mat the whole thing just the bottom and right side. I then took my huge flower which I left white and used two pieces of acetate to create a pocket behind the flower cut file. I filled that pocket with the Indian Summer Sequins.
I aslo added the Indian Summer Sequins to the center of the flowers. I also scattered around some of the pink flower sequins from the Raspberry Daisy Dream Sequins.
To finish off my layout i added some black India ink splatters.
This was fun to create. There is a process video on my YouTube channel if you’d like to watch: https://youtu.be/mFacTz–sSQ
Thanks so much for stopping by! XOXO -Katty
