Watercoloring Wood Veneers by Louise!
Hello everyone! We have a sweet and short post by Design Team Sparkler Louise today and I just love how she colored these awesome Studio Calico wood veneers and the pretty little hints of gold. Louise makes be want to break out my gelatos. Here she is!
I have had a lot going on over the last few weeks so it was nice to get a card made again 🙂 I started with a white cardstock base which I water colored using Metallic Melon Gelato and a water brush. Once the gelato was dry, I sprayed with some dye inks in pink, white and gold.
I then coloured my veneer using the melon gelato and gold dye ink plus a brush. I stamped the arrows along the bottom using Flight of the arrows from Close to my Heart in pink dye ink. The always and forever was originally one piece but I cut it to fit on the A5 card. I sprinkled the Raspberry Dream Sequins on the card then adhered them where they had fallen. I matted the card front onto raspberry cardstock then to the plain cardstock base to finish.
Thanks loads for joining me today and if you click on the photos below you will be taken directly to Jody’s Etsy shop.
Thank you!!
