Sun, Snow, Scowls
Hey y’all, Ali here! I have a quick post today, winter germs have ravaged my house lately and they don’t show any signs of stopping…so before I go on a nyquil induced ramble, let’s get to why you are here-scrapbooks and sequins!
Last Christmas my daughter asked for snow (enter wide eyed expression here). We live in Texas. Her favorite movie is frozen. I don’t know Elsa. But there was one saving grace-Sea World! Typically they have a whole winter wonderland set up, complete with a real live snow machine! Of course, on the day we went, it was broken-cue the tears. Instead they had flurry machines throughout the park. My snarky toddler was not impressed. So, what do I do? Um…take a picture of course. So here she is, in all of her snarky glory, hating the fake snow (wearing shorts and a t-shirt), and being mad that the promise of snow never did appear.
So the theme this month is “use those tools” so I decided to give my old heat tool another go. I have to say, I really hate embossing powder, but I love the way these embossed snowflakes came out. The Shabby Chic Christmas sequin mix might just be my newest favorite mix, and it looks awesome with snow flakes!!!
And just so you guys know, since I made this layout, it actually snowed in Texas, a few days ago…so this snarky toddler got her wish (a little late). And she was quick to remind us that we “lied” when we said it didn’t snow in Texas!
But really…how awesome are those teal wood grain sequins in this mix? Ok…this is way longer than it was supposed to be. Sorry for the ramble, happy Sunday!
