And, we’re rolling on to Day 18 already for the 30 Cards, 30 Cards Memory Works Event!!  I’m playing catch-up this week after spending last week getting ready for our 2 year old Abby’s birthday party last Saturday..  whew!  That girl is something else… continuously crawling out of her crib last Friday has forced us to get her into the big girl bed a little early.  Ugh… her will may be stronger than mine.  My husband laid with her last night so I could get stuff done & keep my sanity 🙂

Here are a couple cards & sketches from the last week, starting with Day 15.

Here’s my card with flecks of gold from my Etsy Shop!  I’m still creating my cards with the Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas 6×6 pad and I’m adding in SpiegelMom Scraps Gold Sequins, Gold Foil Doily and May Arts red burlap string.  I did some very simple layering of papers and elements, following the sketch pretty closely.

And for today’s sketch, Day 18!  I’m also on the Memory Works Blog today with this sketch and card.

And my quick and simple card from this sketch.  I created it with the Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas 6×6 pad, a white doily, May Arts natural burlap string,  Again I’m following this sketch pretty closely, which makes card making go even faster!  Seriously, I was way done in under 10 minutes.

I do LOVE the May Arts burlap string in my Etsy Shop (SpiegelMom Scrap Shop).  It’s 1/32″ wide and adds the perfect touch of texture without weighing your card, or other paper crafting project down.  Tip: when I tie my knots or bows I put a small dab of glue over the center knot to kept it from coming undone.  I use Aileen’s Tacky Glue, Ranger Glossy Accents or CTMH Liquid Glass.   I also use the May Arts burlap string to tie up those brown paper packages… because these are a few of my favorite things! 

Now, for a little contest!! What movie are those little phrases from?  This is one of my favorite movies from my childhood believe it or not.  We’d watch it every Christmas at my Great Gram’s house.. wonderful memories there!
