Ombre Painting Mixed Media Class Projects~Salem Community Library
Happy 4th of July everyone! I hope you all have a fantastic and safe Holiday weekend!!
I’m just sharing some of the canvas art created by my students at the Salem Community Library on June 29th. The first canvas (above) is one I created for one of my dear friends. Her daughter is the lovely little girl in the photos.
In this mixed media class, I taught my students how to create an ombre effect on the canvas using acrylic paints and Mr. Huey’s Spray Inks. We added paint with stencils (Dear Lizzy 5th & Frolic & some homemade), Studio Calico Wood Veneers and seam binding. I love how each student embraced this project with an open mind and made their canvas very unique!
I’ve already been asked for a video tutorial, so that’s coming soon! In the mean time, enjoy checking out some of the works in progress and finished canvas art from my class!
See you soon & happy scrapping!!
