Whew, what a week!  Here are a few more pages of my December Daily countdown calendar!!  I’m also on the Memory Works Blog TODAY with my page 9.

The actual page is a piece of regular canvas that you can purchase at JoAnn Fabrics, or other fabric store.  To adhere the patterned paper to it, I spread Aileen’s Tacky Glue over the middle of the patterned paper, then positioned it on my sewing machine and stitched around the paper with gold thread.  The  wood veneer card hanging from the metal ring is from Amy Tangerine and the rest of the Studio Calico wood veneers are in my Etsy Shop: Snowflakes and Punctuation.  I embossed the small glassine bag and wrapped it with May Arts red burlap string.  I also love all the gold accents this year, but like them better in small doses such as the sequins or by cutting apart larger gold embellishments.  In this case, I cut a gold foil doily and tucked it underneath the glassine bag for a little pop of gold to catch your eye.  Oh, I almost forgot… those gold Thickers are by Maggie Holmes for Crate Paper and even more awesome in person!! 

You’ll notice that page 8 (above) is a 4×6″ Simple Stories card.  This page is very simple.  I only added a few SpiegelMom Scraps Sequins and the Fancy Pants Merry Little Christmas Tickets (also included in the December Daily Kit I put together).
