Mom Layout with Katty Miranda
Hello friends! Katty Miranda here to share a 12×12 Scrapbooking Layout. This week I am scrapbooking a photo of me and my beautiful mom. The photo was taken recently on Mothers Day. I made the photo black and white and decided to use a color scheme that I am currently in love with, Orange and Pink. I began with a technique that I am also in love with lately which is using a stencil and the Shimmerz Dazzlerz on velum. I remembered I had purchased some velum envelopes in a clearance sale at a local office depot a while back. I decided to use those to create my flowers. I began with a Stencil from the Crafters Workshop called Mini Scallop Flowers. I used the Dazzlers in Dreamscicle and Tutti Frutti. I created several of the scallop circle flowers and then grouped them together to create 3 bigger flowers. I also used a Heidi Swapp leaf stencil with the Sea U in the Mornin Dazzlers to create some leaves for my flowers. I added a sequin from the Gold Sequin Confetti in the center of each flower. I love how they turned out.
I matted the photo of my mom and I on a craft/white diagonal stripe paper. Then I used the Kaisercraft Finders Keepers Paper pad and I used a fun pink camera paper to create a second mat. Lastly I used craft cardstock to mat the whole thing. The craft makes the whole photo pop a bit more. I then used a Martha Stewart Monarch Butterfly punch to puck out 4 butterflies. I misted the butterflies with my Heidi Swapp color shine in gold. I also added a few of the Peachy Sherbet Sequins to the butterflies. For my tittle I used American crafts thickers in a gold Marquee font called Buckaroo. I finished off the layout with a few gold Heidi Shine and Black India Ink splatters.
To frame the whole page I added an orange diagonal stripe paper from the Crate Paper Wonder collection. I love how simple and soft it turned out.

See you next Sunday. Thanks so much for stopping by. XOXO – Katty
