I’m so thankful that this incredible hobby brought me together with some fabulous scrappy ladies recently. They’ve both pushed and encouraged my creativity as well as been supportive in many other ways. Here is the quote and theme of today blog hop.
Here are the fabulous ladies and our blog hop line up for today. You can hop the blogs in any order your crafty little heart desires, just visit them all. Make sure you check out Gia’s blog, as she has all the Laughing Lola products pictured on her blog as well as some incredible projects!
For this blog share, we all created projects with the fun & funky Laughing Lola from Close To My Heart. Here’s my first project! I absolutely love creating mini albums and mine are usually very girly. This mini album isn’t nearly as girly as I usually create, but then again it’s not for me 🙂 My little sister has two awesome sons & a fantastic husband… and her favorite color is purple. This mini is a win-win for her!
One thing I love to do with my mini albums in ad smaller ‘mini-pages’ in between the regular pages. They’re perfect for extra decoration or journaling. I also added a bunch of little gold stars, which my Dad found for me!!
Here’s the backside of the mini page above.
Throughout this mini, I used the stamp set from the Chantilly Workshop, “All The Details-Everyday Life”. It’s full of fun phrases, arrows and this funky plus sign design that I used throughout this mini. I created the embossed stamping across multiple areas of the mini album pages by using a funky gold embossing powder from my stash, Versamark and my heat gun.
Next I created this fun layout about our daughter, Hannah. In the Spring of 2013 our girls played soccer and really loved it. The only thing they didn’t like was that they played in the rain as long as it wasn’t lightning. This Mama wasn’t a big fan of that either!! Overall, they had a blast running their little pony tails off all over the field.
I used the Artbooking Cartridge to cut the background that’s underneath Hannah’s photo, which is a fun arrangement of sports related words like GO TEAM, PLAY and more! The soccer balls were also with the Artbooking Cartridge. I love that all the sports related die cuts look girly with the funky Laughing Lola papers. Try them out! You can also see that I popped up the larger sections and soccer balls on the layout. I used my trusty 3L Scrapbook Adhesive foam squares (coming this weekend to my Etsy Shop, SpiegelMom Scrap Shop!!)

Another awesome mini in true Jody style. I love your gold accents and embossing, that really jazzes it up and makes me want to go back to my mini and add gold, gold, gold! Your layout with your sassy soccer girl is too cute. Your style of layering with die cuts has inspired me once again!
