Ok my friends, onto my layouts today! I am totally stoked to be creating with Amy Tangerine again! We just adore her and her Stitched collection blends perfectly this month’s challenge. I hope you grabbed your favorite beverage and have a snack ready for this inspiring blog hop. Think about what you’d create with our challenge this month!
In the true spirit of Tailor Made, we want to see something sewn, stitched, embroidered, quilted, knitted, or crocheted on your project this month! For extra credit, share some goals, hopes and dreams for the new year, or even your “word” of the year if you choose one.
For this first layout, I cut the Dots cut file after enlarging it slightly on my Portrait. I love this photo of our daughter Hannah selling Girl Scout Cookies door to door last year. I also love to scrapbook along with my girls. Hannah helped me stitch this flower onto the die cut 😀 She loved it and it meant a lot to both of us to spend some one and one time together. As you can see, I added many of the Tailor Made embellishments including the lovely Chic Tags acetate words, stickers, enamel dots, Echo Park Creative Agenda chipboard stickers and cut files!
I love combining different stickers and chipboard for interesting little sub-titles in my layouts!
Next up is a much different layout. This much softer layout has lots of white, gray, black and a few pops of color! I also used some of my Ranger Texture Paste, mixed with some ink to add a soft looking subtitle. This was done by placing a stencil (from Dear Lizzy) onto my layout and gently spreading the tinted texture paste over the stencil. Pretty simple actually! I added these fabulous chipboard triangles (heat embossed with white Ranger Embossing) from our January challenge sponsor Creative Embellishments. I love the contrast added by the Amy Tangerine Thickers combined with the softness of the sweet little heart polaroids from the Amy Tangerine paper. My scrappy toppings included the Amy Tangerine enamel dots, Maya Road wood veneer stitched heart (also heat embossed) and some sequin hearts from my stash. (Photo credit in the layout goes to Rachael Contreras of JAM Photography in Racine, WI)
Thank you so much for spending your time with us at Clique Kits today! We hope you enjoy the Pep Rally and are inspired to create something today. Be sure to leave a comment on our blogs…. you know we just love to give away scrappy goodies! This month we are giving away a full Tailor Made kit to one lucky commenter! Sweet!!
You’re next stop is our fabulous Graphic Designer Lacey Gasper!
