ArtBooking in August Hop #3
Welcome to Week #3 of the Artbooking in August Blog Hop!! Thank you for joining us this month as we celebrate the new and exclusive Close To My Heart Cricut Cartridge ~ ArtBooking!! First, some housekeeping details: you should have arrived here from Jane’s blog HERE. If you missed my last week’s project, go HERE.
Here is Adeline’s Blog HERE if you get lost along your way, or just want to start at the very beginning of the 30-something Artbooker’s on this fab hop!
Our mission this month was to create 4 different projects using the Cricut Artbooking cartridge and any CTMH paper pack.
1. 2 page layout
2. Card
3. Mini Book
4. Home decor or ‘giftable’ item
As you can see, today I’ve checked off the first three projects with today’s mini album reveal! This mini is a special gift so I’ll be adding the photos and some more embellishments later. The album pages were all cut at 6.5″. I also cut some of the elements at 6.5″ which kept them in ratio to the album pages. But, some of the elements turned out too small for me. I ended up using the “Real Dial Size” function and cut them to an exact size that I chose. I like using that feature because you know the size you’re going to get right from the start. No wasting paper!
Speaking of paper, here are the supplies I used for this “My Favorite Photos” mini album:
~ Claire papers {retired this year} ~ Navy Cardstock from the Tommy paper pack ~ Colonial White Cardstock ~ 3/4″ Clear Sparkles Flourishes ~ 4mm Round Sparkles ~ Clear Flowers ~ Liquid Glass~
Non-CTMH products used: Tim Holtz Vintage Photo Distress Ink, May Arts Orange Chevron Twill, Sizzix Embossing Folders, metal rings and Scrapbook Adhesive Foam Squares.
If you haven’t been convinced to get the new Artbooking Cartridge yet, let me remind you what the Cricut bundle comes with!! You get the Cricut Cartridge & booklet, 3 large stamps sets and 3 large chipboard accents that coordinate with the cartridge!! Don’t forget that many of the stamps also coordinate with the shapes on the cartridge, as well as the cutting size labeled right on the stamp! Genuis!
You can visit my website HERE: http://spiegelmom.ctmh.com/ to purchase it. Plus, in August the deal gets even sweeter! When you place an order of $50 or more during August, you’ll receive the August Stamp of the Month set, A Chocolate Affair (S1308A), FREE! This D-size stamp set with a retail value of $17.95 includes 16 images and sentiments that will have your friends salivating over your chocolatey layouts and cards. Make every project a treat with this must-have set. Perfect for teacher’s gifts, birthday’s, cards for girlfriends, thank you’s and more! Lovely mini Jody! I really like the flowers and bits of bling carried throughout. The navy mats and Kraft go great with the Claire too! This is just darling.

Thanks! It’s for a Mom-friend of mine who helped us out this summer. We swapped kids on our off days-less daycare $!!
