Adventure, Shimelle Scraplift!
Hey y’all, Ali here! Super excited to scraplift another lovely scrapper this week. You may have noticed, the Sparklers are highlighting Shimelle! I love all of her layouts, so it was really hard to choose what to scraplift. I eventually decided on this fun layout!
I was immediately drawn to the enamel dots down the center, and I knew replacing those with sequins would be awesome! I decided on my photos, my son at Mount Rushmore (and all of his excitement!). But my photos were vertical and Shimelle’s layout uses horizontal photos. So I flipped it! And I love the way it turned out.
Obviously, scraplifting Shimelle, I felt drawn to all of the Shimelle goodies. Go Now Go and True Stories were a perfect mix to tell the story of my son and his adventure to Mount Rushmore. I also added some washi tape and a few of the Cork Confetti Hearts.
Finishing the layout off with some Gone With The Wind sequins, and voila! Finished! One thing I absolutely adore about Shimelle’s layouts are how quick and simple they are, while paying attention to all of those important details. Also, by using patterned paper as a background, they always look so detailed and intricate!
Since this scraplift, I have been more inclined to reach for the patterned paper instead of my white cardstock, and I just love that a simple scraplift can change a point of view or style! So if you haven’t already, I highly recommend picking your favorite Shimelle layout and scraplifting (don’t forget the sequins!).
