Tuesday’s Talent – Tracey Fox
I’m excited to share my third project as a guest designer for the month! For this 12×12 layout, I was inspired by the shop’s Mahogany sequins to document a story about how much my husband and I love Pepsi Freezes. The cola-colored Mahogany sequins went great with my photo of the delicious icy beverages and the fun bright red, teal, and gray color scheme I chose for the page.
I knew I wanted to create some movement on the page with some horizontal lines of the sequins. To adhere them to the layout, I stuck down strips of Redline (super strong) double sided tape and stuck the sequins directly down onto the tape, slightly overlapping them as I went. I love how this turned out!
I love how the gold foam Thickers I used for the title and the gold ink splatters I added to the page help to complement the metallic, coppery color of the Mahogany sequins, as well.
Adhering sequins with Redline tape was SO easy, and it’s definitely a technique I’ll use again to emellish a page. Thanks for stopping by today to check out my layout, and make sure when you shop the Spiegelmom Scraps shop that you use the code “TRACEY15” for 15% off your order!
