Wish – A Spring Layout
Happy Spring!
I don’t know about where you live but these last two days have felt like spring – we’ve had such a mild winter I think I’ve been in the spring mentality for a while now.
When it comes to scrapping, I’ve really been working to rediscover freedom in what pictures I use. So far, I’ve done almost too well keeping up with Project Life – I sorta don’t have much to scrap that is super current. So, to make sure I’m still having fun and not letting creating become too regimented, I’m making a point to scrap whatever just to play!
This is one of those projects. This picture was taken on a trip I led last summer to Colorado. It’s so fun! I had lots of products I wanted to use with it.
The background is composed of lots of Shimmerz splatters – with yellows and blues (You could also use this one + this one) along with stitched sequins. The stitched sequins are the one element I really had envisioned and wanted to build from. My sequin mix of choice for this project is Rockin‘ Pink Ombre. I really really love monochromatic sequin mixes.
I also painted some Corky Cumulus clouds white and stitched them onto my page too.
I wanted the paper layers I chose to be a nice complement to the embellishments without being too distracting – I used several products from the Shimelle “Little by Little” collection along with a few Crate Paper things. I also had a “Wish” Thicker in my stash that went perfectly with this layout.
I tied in the black with some black stamping and then I was done! I really love how light and airy this project feels – perfect for spring.
Thanks for stopping by!
