Shaker Title Page
Good morning!
If you’re reading this then you’ve made it to Wednesday – halfway through the week following a holiday weekend, which is always a struggle for me.
I’ve been having fun lately experimenting with different shaker pockets. I love the layering capabilities! Today I’m sharing a shaker pocket title page made with my trusty fuse tool. Projects like this are much easier if you have a heat proof mat with measurements – so you can get your fusing centered.
I love adding different sized page protectors in Project Life to make it a little more eclectic. I began by trimming my page protector to a 6×12 size. Working first on the rectangular inside pocket holding the “XOXO” I fused 3 sides, added the thicker, and fused the top. The fact that the title I chose was adhesive helped hold it in place. But if you’re going for a more whimsical look you could just add any cut file (or any ephemera for that matter!) I then added the sequins to the page protector. I chose to use Strawberry Bubblegum – a perfect mix for spring! I think lighter sequins look best when layered over a layout – you could also try these or these. Lastly, I used my mini stapler to attach a white heart feltie and my shaker page was complete! SO easy.
I wanted to keep the layout underneath fairly simple so both would be highlighted and not too busy. I used papers from Felicity Jane Studio and coordinating ephemera. I used a few embellishments from my stash including a white lace doily and cork heart from the shop.
Notice that little bit of shine underneath my photo? You can brush on some Shimmerz Paste-eez like this one for a little bit of bling.
I love putting my finished spreads in my album to admire how they turned out! I hope you’re inspired to do a little experimenting with shaker pockets
