Story of Today – PL Spread
Happy day before SMS + Creative Embellishments Blog Hop!
In all the excitement I almost forgot about my regularly scheduled blog post.. luckily I incorporate products from the shop in almost all of my projects so I typically always have something to share.
So far loving the 9 x 12 size for my Project Life! I think there’s something so aesthetically pleasing about this size. For this layout I actually worked from the sequins – I knew I wanted to use some of my favorite mix – Plum Dreamsicle. I love how moody it is while still maintaining sparkle.
I love keeping my pocket spreads simple so certain elements are easily highlighted. That scrap of gold glittered paper in the top corner perfectly complements the sequins – I’m fairly certain I got it at Hobby Lobby. It’s just the right amount of shine.
I think monochromatic elements can have such a cool effect – so I adhered this white heart feltie to a white title card and I really like how it looks – subtle but textured.
In order to incorporate a little more purple, I spritzed a plain white 3 x 4 card with some Shimmerz Vibez in Quit Yer Wine-n – you could also use these (1 & 2).
I finished off my layout with some flair and a DIY embellishment made with stamping & some vellum. It’s hard sometimes to create minimal projects but for me it’s always worth it.
Thanks for stopping by! See you tomorrow
