What About Wednesday: Lazy Saturdays
Aloha!!! December is in full swing in my house. Lots of school, lots of activities, lots of baking, and lots of spending time together. With the cooler weather coming in we are spending more time on the couch over the weekends. Watching movies together. Enjoying each others company. I love these moments with my family.
That is why I decided to add this layout to my Cozy album. I want to remember a time when we weren’t too busy too hang out together. A time when we took the time to be together. Maybe we will continue to choose to do that or maybe we will grow as a family and have different things we do together. Documenting these moments now are so important to me, because I know how fast time flies, and my kids grow. Wasn’t it just last year they were in diapers, toddling about the living room, while I tried to divert their attention away from the tree. Now they are helping find their favorite shows with the tuner.
I used some Shimelle Go now Go supplies I have in my scrap room. The colors are perfect for a late fall layout. I also dug into my stash to find that distressed school ruled paper. It also made for a great place to write all my journaling.
I added sequins all throughout this layout. But unlike what I normally do which is just scatter them around my embellishment clusters, this time I added them with intention. Like look at this scalloped border strip coming down the layout. I added similar colors to the scallops with the Classic Cozy sequin mix. The different varieties of blues and reds, worked so well with this collection.
They also look so cool scattered in this cluster with the camera!! I used Navy and Grey Feltie hearts for texture. I absolutely love these hearts, I tend to go a little crazy with them. How can you not, when they are so darling?!
I only added one grey feltie heart to this cluster, with some layered silhouette cut autumn leaves. Having leaves on each of my layouts is something I have been doing to make all the layouts tie together. I love how it looks with that chipboard flower too.
Above my photo is where I had the majority of my layers and I added lots of shapes, sizes and patterns for my autumn leaves. I added a medium tag among the layers. I tied a blue bakers twine bow on the tag, to add a hint of color in the leaves layers. It needed some blue among all the green and red.
The Cozy Sequins and navy feltie hearts look super fun tucked in the layers of leaves, tags and other ephemera I have at the top of the photo with my title.
At the end of making this layout I decided to add that puffy heart on top of my coffee mug. I feel all cozy looking at this photo.
Thanks for taking a look at this layout, that is going into my Cozy Album. Here is a full look at my layout. I hope you are inspired today!!
